‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. Zechariah 4:6.
Greetings to all in the matchless name of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Our initial days of fellowship dates back to the days while we were still a part of UBM Vishranti Church Malad two decades ago. A handful of families from this part of the city traveling to and fro, braving all odds to be a part of the fellowship at UBM Malad. It is during these testing times; GOD started moving people’s heart to plant a church in Vasai for HIS Glory.
This small flock from Vasai was now commissioned to fulfill HIS will. Thanks to their prayers and earnest efforts, we were blessed with a hall on rent at PP Paradise in Vasai West and thus began our journey as a congregation in Vasai on the 9th of Sept 2001.
Due to some unavoidable circumstances, we had to shift from PP Paradise to Dalvi Sadan in Vasai West. However, we were now few more in numbers and the fellowship continued to grow stronger. Since this hall was also on rent, we were permitted to use it only for Sunday fellowships. As activities and fellowship gatherings increased, we soon realized getting our own place for fellowship was imperative.
As families started praying and working towards building this Church, GOD raised few members to complete this task. After a lot of searching and scouting, we finalized this place in the heart of EvereShine City – Vasai East. What we call today our own place of worship, is the will of GOD alone through the hard-work put in by each member involved in the entire process of making this shared dream a reality.
While few of them have left us to be with our Lord, we remember all those hearts and minds that toiled day and night to give us this hallowed place which is now known as UBM Christa Mahima Church – Vasai. Their experience is indeed a testimony and an inspiration for us to serve in the house of the LORD.
We’ve had various Pastors shepherding us in the last 10 years, we would like to remember each one of them as well for their prayers and spiritual guidance.
On the 6th of June 2010, the dedication of our church was done by then Bishop of the Karnataka Southern Diocese Rt. Rev. Dr. John S Sadanand.
