By 1962 a handful south Canara Christians were living in and around of Marol village. They used to conduct regular prayer meetings in their homes for their spiritual nourishment. This was the birth of Christa Shanthi church. Under the leadership of Rev. Kunder divine worships were conducted in a house of a member. Later they identified a small hut for rent to conduct the Sunday’s divine service. The first service of U.B.M. Christa Shanthi Church in new place had begun on Christ’s resurrection day on 14th April 1963.
The separate presbytery was formed in the year 1981. Until then The Marol Church was part of U.B.M. Christa Kanthi Church Kurla.
The existing church structure has taken her own steps to seen what she is today. Though we are on rent, time and again taken necessary permissions from owner to renovate the church. As an inception of the Local presbytery, we have celebrated silver jubilee in the year 2006. We are consisting of

Women’s fellowship Wil be conducted every Monday at 5:30 pm nearly 20 Women’s participate in this fellowship. We sing praise and worship songs and meditate upon bible passages.
WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP OFFICE BEARERS
RAGE exists to reach Non-believing Youths. To connect them to the eternal God, to help them grow in faith, to challenge the youth to discover their purposes in life and fulfil their destiny by honoring God with their life. RAGE is voice of this generation.
A total number of 57 children attend our Sunday School. They have been divided into 4 Groups with a Group name for each Group. Eight Volunteers have been appointed to take up the General Assembly, organizing various activities and Praise and Worship.

Our choir practices are conducted every Wednesday @ 8 pm. We are having around 25 people in our choir. We perform at festivals and also participate in all events put forth by our churches for the glory of God.
