The United Basel Mission Church Mumbai, Editorial Department has decided to publish “Sabha Sandesha” church magazine annually. The Sabha Sandesha in print format is released every Christmas Season bringing to its readers contents of Christmas Messages with Annual Church report and events.
The Editorial Department has also thought to release a Digital Magazine called ‘ Basel Chronicles’ which was released in the month of August with the theme “Lockdown not Knockdown”. Considering the present context in mind the Editorial department of UBMCC decided to keep the themes as per the context.
The Fourth Edition of the Digital Magazine with the Theme ‘Arise – He Is Alive’ focuses on the Lenten season which culminates leading to the celebration of the Joy of Easter .
This edition, takes us on a journey with the Cross till Calvary. Further development takes us to the Empty tomb which bears witness to the fact that our Lord is risen and our Lord is Alive.
This is the time to Arise because our Lord lives for ever. As Lent means birth of a new sprout or a new shoot, this is the time to arise as a new sprout for Christ and grow in the word of God and yield fruits. He is the true vine and we are His branches.
This magazine helps us to grow through its spiritually uplifting messages on the Lenten days and the Resurrected Lord. Come, let us be a part of this by reading this beautiful magazine and let our lives be blessed.
The contents are focused mainly to enrich people’s Faith on God and to help them in trusting God in all circumstances even to overcome their fears through the words and promises of God.
To reach out and to help the people to read the articles with their own languages and understand its deeper meanings, we have been publishing in three languages Kannada, English and Hindi. Not only article as it is a Sabha Sandesha we are also bringing church updates of last 3 months.
As in this lockdown period, the UBMC Council is fruitful in conducting Online Worship Services, various activities and competitions like: Dare to Shine – Drawing and Essay competition, Dare to Shine 2.0 – Music and Singing competition, Youth conference, Women’s conference and also promoting Hindi services.
The magazine is bringing out all the updates of these various activities and of upcoming programs. The main purpose of this magazine is to emphasize the importance of carrying out the mission. The digital magazine is going to reach all our UBMCC members and neighbors, friends of Mumbai, Maharashtra, all over India, and across the World with its enriching contents and through supportive languages.
The main thing is each and every person is important to God. We have the responsibility and opportunity to share the Truth that we have tasted to others, and give them a new hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
