What do we mean by Celebration?
Celebration is an act or occasion of doing something enjoyable because something good has happened or because it is a special day.
In the Bible celebration is a spiritual practice that involves sharing joy with others for God’s blessings. It is a way to give glory to God by dwelling on HIS goodness and faithfulness.
The month of December reminds us of the greatest celebration that is the birth of our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. The birth of JESUS has brought Hope to each one of us.
Isaiah 9:6 says, “For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on HIS shoulders. And HE will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Truly JESUS is our Saviour. All those who believe in HIM and receives HIM, have the hope of Eternal life.
How do we celebrate this festival of Christmas, the Birth of JESUS CHRIST?
JESUS CHRIST being the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our celebration should be the most grand celebration. Our attitude of celebration should be of gratitude to the Most Holy GOD who gave HIS only Son for us. We too should have the heart of sharing with others in whatever way we can. First of all, let us surrender our lives to God and enjoy HIS presence with us. Let the love of Christ be seen through each one of us. Let us celebrate with joy in our hearts.
Who should celebrate this festival of Christmas, the birth of JESUS CHRIST?
The Bible says in John 3:16, “For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS one and only SON, that whoever believes in HIM shall not perish but have Eternal life. ‘
So according to the Word of God the birth of JESUS should be celebrated by the whole world, because JESUS was born for the whole world.
Keeping this in mind let us as Christians be a medium to help others to know the real meaning of Christmas and bring them also to the knowledge of CHRIST.
May this CHRISTMAS celebration be a meaningful celebration for each one of us and may we all be a BEACON to the perishing world.
GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF US.
BLESSED CHRISTMAS And A BLESSED NEW YEAR to all.
