Chembur Playschool & Nursery

Christa Krupa Playschool & Nursery

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

We started our academic year on 26th June 2024. Children were accompanied by parents on first day. We welcomed our children with a smiley flower. We had hand painting activity for kids.

ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP FINE MOTOR SKILLS

Fine motor skills are the use of small muscles in the hands and fingers to make precise movements. They involve the coordination of the fingers, hands, and wrists to grab, hold, and manipulate objects. To enhance fine motor skills, we do many activities with children such as sorting pulses, putting beads in thread, putting coins in piggy bank, squeezing water with sponge, sticking bindi, colouring, sand activity, etc.

COLOUR DAY CELEBRATIONS

To help children familiarize themselves with colours, we celebrated different Colour Days. On each day, children dressed according to the designated colour and participated in activities related to that colour. The classroom was also decorated to match the colour theme, making the learning experience more engaging and fun

STORY TIME

Another activity that kids look forward is the story time. They pay full attention and focus when the story is being narrated. We try to make the stories more real and fun by using puppets and flash cards.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

For Diwali celebrations, children painted diyas, which were given to them as takeaways along with a paper diya. They also enjoyed filling rangoli with colours and were treated to sweets and snacks.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS

On Children’s Day, kids dressed up as their favourite cartoon characters and created greeting cards to take home as a keepsake.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

On the occasion of Independence Day, children dressed up as leaders and freedom fighters. They participated in a paper-tearing activity to create the image of the national flag and proudly sang the national anthem.

COMMUNITY HELPER’S DAY & REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS

To celebrate Republic Day and teach children about community helpers, they dressed up as various professionals such as sweepers, soldiers, doctors, farmers, and more

HOLI CELEBRATIONS

This year, kids enjoyed Holi by applying colours to each other and engaging in a fun activity of splashing colours by hammering on coloured cotton.

ORIENTATION & PARENT’S WORKSHOP

On July 6, 2024, an Orientation and Parents’ Workshop was organized. Parent’s workshop was conducted by a professional psychologist.”

RAINY DAY CELEBRATIONS

The children learned about rainy wear and had a great time sailing boats in the water.

SNACKS & PRAYER TIME

This is how our kids enjoy their snack time! We also incorporate prayers into their daily routine, offering them three times a day—once before starting school, again before eating snacks, and finally before heading home

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

On Raksha Bandhan girls tied Rakhi to boys and boys in turn gave gifts to their sisters. They learnt about the bonding of brother & sisters.

PLAY TIME

Children eagerly look forward to their playtime each day, where they freely explore and play with blocks, puzzles, slides, see-saws, and more. These activities help enhance their fine and gross motor skills while making learning fun!

PICNIC & CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

This year children were thrilled during Christmas celebration as they were taken for picnic to a play area named Play & Learn in R-City Mall. They were also given mask and handmade snowman as Christmas gift.

SPORTS DAY

The most awaited event sports day was celebrated on 11th December 2024. Each child regardless of size or skill, radiated enthusiasm as they embraced the spirit of friendly competition.

SHOW & TELL ACTIVITY

To enhance communication skill, we had show and tell activity on green and pink day. Kids got one object and spoke 2-3 sentences on about it. Not only nursery kids even playgroup kids participated enthusiastically.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Children feel special on their birthdays when they wear the crown and sash made by their teachers and everyone sings the birthday song for them.
